NASOM Walk for Autism 2014

The exciting and fun-filled month of April, the Autism Awareness month ended in style with a huge event organized by the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM). The main sponsor was Danajamin. Other sponsors were Nando's, GlaxoSmithKline, 100Plus, Gardenia bread, Milo and Oatkrunch. It's the NASOM Walk for Autism 2014! Cute Puzzle Pieces :) The venue was Citta Mall,  Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya . This was the second time that my family and I participated in this event. Let's see some of the interesting scenes captured during this Walk :) The registration desk where all participants are given the race kit (they are actually goodies from all the sponsors). The blue tshirts were collected before the event at NASOM HQ Office. Roundtable Meeting on Autism Scenario in Malaysia with ISAM2014 Speakers (21 April 2014)

Assalamualaikum and hi :) In conjunction with the INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON AUTISM (ISAM) 2014 that was held on 22 to 23 April 2014 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, a short round table meeting with all ISAM2014 speakers was held at Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC) on the day before the event. These ISAM2014 posters can bee seen all over PICC I was truly grateful to Dr Hasnah Toran (UKM) for inviting me to join the meeting. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting all the international speakers who were known for their contribution in autism-based research, plus delegates from ASEAN countries who are responsible in ensuring the education well-being of children with autism in their respective countries. The meeting discussed various issues on the overall scenario of autism in Malaysia, the availability and access to education for autistic children and also the Program PERMATA Kurnia Autisme center which will be opened in May 2015. The 3rd Autism Rehabilitation Robotics Workshop and MRRI Conference on 2-4 December 2013 organized by HuRoBs, UiTM Shah Alam and IEEE-RAS Malaysia Chapter

Alhamdulillah, all praises be for you Allah swt as our team at the Center for Humanoid Robots and Bio-sensing (HuRoBs), UiTM had successfully organized the 3rd Autism Rehabilitation Workshop on 2nd Dec 2013 at Dewan Sri Budiman, UiTM Shah Alam. This workshop was held in conjunction with the 2013 Int Symposium  Medical & Rehabilitation Robotics & Instrumentation (MRRI2013) conference (2nd-4th Dec 2013). Both events were organized in collaboration with IEEE RAS Malaysia Chapter. The Beautiful Colors of NASOM (The National Autism Society of Malaysia)

Our collaboration with NASOM actually began way back in June 2011 with our first Autism Rehabilitation Workshop in UiTM.  Puan Rose of NASOM presenting at our 2011 Autism Workshop in UiTM Shah Alam Then, alhamdulillah NASOM officially become our research partner in January 2012 with the consent of their GM.
