I just got to know that The United Nations (UN) had declared that the date of 3rd December every year to be observed as the International Day of Disabled Persons. The same practice is carried out in Malaysia, under the purview of the Department of Social Welfare (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat). Last year (2012) the theme was “Removing Barriers to Create an Inclusive Accessible Society for All".
