Innovation in Robotics Knows No Bounds

Creating and developing a prosthetic hand for children born without hand limb is one of my latest projects at the faculty. Our students and us lecturers (myself and en Mahasan) were quite inspired by this inventor from Taiping, Perak who loves to be regarded as Pak Su Delta. May Allah swt always grant him good health and lots of more inventive ideas to help the disabled people in our community. FYI, Pak Su is always looking out for sponsorships and funds to support his cause.

FKP Robotic Booth during Science Week at SK Putrajaya Presint 8(2)

The staffs in the Department of Robotics and Automation, Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering are always happy to fulfill invitations to set-up exhibition booths to promote awareness on science and technology, especially robotic education to the public. Recently on 28th April 2016, a small delegate from our department had the opportunity to do so at SK Putrajaya Presint 8(2). We were excited and honored to receive the invitation. Our booth got splendid attention from students (Year 1-6) and even teachers. As the timeframe spent at the school was quite short (10 am to 2 pm), a lot of the students were disappointed when had to leave. So we hope that we will have the opportunity to meet more students if we are invited for future events. Hope we had succeeded in nurturing ambitions for the children to be robotics engineers in the future!
