Assalamualaikum and hi everyone Here's a very short post about a competition that my colleague, En Mahasan Mat Ali, my students and myself took part in 2 weeks ago. We presented our project: And we got a Silver Medal for our project! Alhamdulillah :) Congratulations to all team members. But I dont have a picture of all of us though. Some of our team members during the product survey with healthy children in May 2016 I am so proud of the team and hope this project can start to create awareness on the need of more affordable prosthesis for children.

Assalamualaikum Dear readers, Hope you are in the pink of health. Alhamdulillah our faculty had kicked-off the new semester for 2016/2017 on 5th September 2016. So I'd better update this little blog of mine before us lecturers get very (too) busy with classes, supervision and all :) Recently 14th August, my colleagues at UTeM and I took part in a charity run at PERKESO Rehabilitation Center, Melaka which is just 5 minits away from our Durian Tunggal Campus. There were the five different categories to choose from and we took part in the 5 KM Fun Run. My PhD supervisor who is also my research mentor-for-life is in the spotlight again! Kudos to Assoc Prof Dr Hanafiah Yussof for an awesome job in promoting robotics technology in Malaysia :) 'Building Bots'

Alhamdulillah. My 3 FYP students have successfully completed their projects and submitted their hardbound thesis this week.  All the best to all of them, I believe they are going to be awesome engineers, insyaAllah. Hello there An exciting event took place in our faculty recently: The Department of Robotics and Automation FKP was proud to organize the Mechatronics Design Competition on 25th May 2016 at the Mechatronics Lab. This is an annual event under the subject BFA3503 where students in groups of 5 or 6 will need to design and develop a robot and compete to find the fastest one to accomplish the given tasks. The 2016 theme is Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). Competition Objective: The AGV robot is required to pick up TWO (2) different loads at the pick-up station and deliver the load to its designated stations. List of tasks: -The AGV will start at the designated starting point -Then, the AGV is required to pick up a load at a pick-up station -The AGV will send it to the first machine -Next, the AGV need to travel back to the pick-up station, pick the second load and deliver it to the second machine -Each machine station requires different types of load After both ...
