International Technical Postgraduate Conference 2017 (TECH-POST2017), University of Malaya, 5-6 April 2017

Assalamualaikum everyone

Early this year, the organizer for the International Technical Postgraduate Conference (Tech-Post) 2017 invited all postgraduates from local and oversea universities to submit their research paper (abstract only) for its conference on 5-6 April 2017. The main objective of Tech-Post 2017 is to be a good platform for postgraduate students to gain experience in presenting skills and communication among researchers in related fields.

So our team of researchers sent 8 postgraduate students to take part in this conference. Alhamdulillah all papers had been published online on 26 June 2017 at the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, Vol. 210 (here).

Alhamdulillah one of my students was awarded the best poster award for Tech-Post2017. KUDOS to Muhammad Winal Zikril Zulkifli.

What is a hooding ceremony?

I have always been intrigued by this event called 'the hooding ceremony' since I began my student life in UiTM about 3 years ago. This term always come to my attention and 'pops out' during the UiTM convocation ceremony. Yesterday I saw a post on the hooding ceremony (again) when my other half was browsing through IPSis UiTM's FB page. IPSis wrote that 52 PhD graduates had successfully completed their studies in UiTM and will receive their scroll in the 81st convocation ceremony.
