On 18th November 2015, a robotic competition was held here at the Fakulti Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (FTMK), UTeM.

The theme of the competition is: Bot of the Rings

"Help Frobot in completing its mission in destroying the One Ball in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged. The missions that need to be accomplished include: 

Zone 1: Follow the Path. Frobot has to follow the right path to Mount Doom.
Zone 2: Solve the Maze. It needs to pass the maze in order to reach its destination.Zone 3: Up the Ramp. Frobot must climb the ramp to reach the top of Mount Doom safely.Zone 4: Drop the Ball. After it bears the great burden throughout its journey, it could finally drop the ball in the fires of Mount Doom."

The robot platform used was the LEGO Mindstorm NXT robot. I am so enormously happy and proud because my students had won the fourth place.

What is a hooding ceremony?
