I am so excited to promote this latest project by our Department of Robotics and Automation in FKP.

I have been nurturing this idea for so long and finally it has come to life! Thanks to the wholesome support from Dr. Nur Aidawaty Rafan, En Mahasan Mat Ali and our HoD; Dr Mohd Hisham Nordin.

The whole event will be run by postgraduate and undergraduate students in FKP. The aim of this program is to give exposure to FKP and UTeM students on information/projects/researches related to robotics and the existing products by postgraduate students in the Department of Robotics and Automation in FKP through the robotics exhibition. There will also be school children coming from robotic clubs in Melaka area to visit the exhibition.

The theme for FKP Robotics Open Day 2017 program “Robotics is FUN!”. Our intention is to give robotics experience and exposure to all FKP students (Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 undergraduates and also postgraduates) and school children from all over Melaka.

What is a hooding ceremony?

I have always been intrigued by this event called 'the hooding ceremony' since I began my student life in UiTM about 3 years ago. This term always come to my attention and 'pops out' during the UiTM convocation ceremony. Yesterday I saw a post on the hooding ceremony (again) when my other half was browsing through IPSis UiTM's FB page. IPSis wrote that 52 PhD graduates had successfully completed their studies in UiTM and will receive their scroll in the 81st convocation ceremony. Picture take from IPSis UiTM's Facebook page Another picture take from IPSis UiTM's Facebook page Now, what is a hooding ceremony? It is simply a ceremony held for students graduating with a master’s or PhD degree. The placing of the hood signifies the passage from student to 'master's' or ‘PhD'. The hooding ceremony and recognition of students’ accomplishments draw attention to the scholarly and the personal achievements of the candidates for g...

EMC 311 MECHATRONICS: PROJECT EVALUATION DAY ON 9TH JULY 2024

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone Time seems to slip away when you're knee-deep in excitement. It's not that the clock ticks faster, but you're so engrossed that hours feel like minutes. Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday that the semester kicked off with so much promise. We've hit Week 16—the final stretch for undergraduate students at USM this semester. For those in the EMC 311 Mechatronics course, this week was all about the ultimate showdown: the evaluation of their mobile robot projects, which make up a cool 10% of their total grade. Picture this: robots zipping around, tackling tasks, detecting obstacles, and following lines like tiny mechanical superheroes. The project isn't just about grades; it's a chance for students to flex their mechanical, programming, and problem-solving muscles in a hands-on, team-driven environment. Since day one, these future tech wizards have been split into 40 groups, working week by week to piece together their ro...
