Alhamdulillah. My 3 FYP students have successfully completed their projects and submitted their hardbound thesis this week.  All the best to all of them, I believe they are going to be awesome engineers, insyaAllah. Hello there An exciting event took place in our faculty recently: The Department of Robotics and Automation FKP was proud to organize the Mechatronics Design Competition on 25th May 2016 at the Mechatronics Lab. This is an annual event under the subject BFA3503 where students in groups of 5 or 6 will need to design and develop a robot and compete to find the fastest one to accomplish the given tasks. The 2016 theme is Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). Competition Objective: The AGV robot is required to pick up TWO (2) different loads at the pick-up station and deliver the load to its designated stations. List of tasks: -The AGV will start at the designated starting point -Then, the AGV is required to pick up a load at a pick-up station -The AGV will send it to the first machine -Next, the AGV need to travel back to the pick-up station, pick the second load and deliver it to the second machine -Each machine station requires different types of load After both
