This April: Gear up for the Autism Awareness Month

United Nations has decreed for the 2nd of April as World Autism Awareness Day and annually, the month of April is recognized as the Autism Awareness Month.

In order to highlight the growing need for concern and awareness about autism, let us take part in the activities that has been lined up next month:-


1) Flash Mob Autisme, 5 April 2014 at KLCC or KL Sental (TBC). Organized by Dr Hasnah Toran's team and Fakulti Perubatan UKM

2) Larian Autisme UKM "Your World is Our World, Together We Stand", 6 April 2014, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur. Organized by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in collaboration with HOPE, PERMATA KURNIA and Akademi Remaja Islam Autisma Malaysia (ARISMA)

What is a hooding ceremony?

I have always been intrigued by this event called 'the hooding ceremony' since I began my student life in UiTM about 3 years ago. This term always come to my attention and 'pops out' during the UiTM convocation ceremony. Yesterday I saw a post on the hooding ceremony (again) when my other half was browsing through IPSis UiTM's FB page. IPSis wrote that 52 PhD graduates had successfully completed their studies in UiTM and will receive their scroll in the 81st convocation ceremony.
