#24March2017 IEEE RAS ExComm Visit to CAMaRo Lab in UniTEN

Here's a quick throwback post.
In conjunction with the 2nd IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Malaysia Chapter meeting, a lab visit to the Centre for Advanced Mechatronics and Robotics (CAMaRo), was organized on 24th March. The visit provided valuable insight into the famous collaborative Baxter robot and other interesting robotics technology at Universiti Tenaga National (UNITEN).

Having a humble history beginning as a research interest group consisting of staff and students, the Centre for Advanced Mechatronics and Robotics (Camaro) has grown over the years becoming the focal point for advancing mechatronics and robotics knowledge in the power industry through education, research and innovation. The centres objective is to nurture robotics in the university, community and nation through research, consultancy and education. Additionally, Camaro aims to establish strategic partnerships with other researchers from other research centres, universities, schools and research institutes. What is a hooding ceremony?

I have always been intrigued by this event called 'the hooding ceremony' since I began my student life in UiTM about 3 years ago. This term always come to my attention and 'pops out' during the UiTM convocation ceremony. Yesterday I saw a post on the hooding ceremony (again) when my other half was browsing through IPSis UiTM's FB page. IPSis wrote that 52 PhD graduates had successfully completed their studies in UiTM and will receive their scroll in the 81st convocation ceremony. The Beautiful Colors of NASOM (The National Autism Society of Malaysia)

Our collaboration with NASOM actually began way back in June 2011 with our first Autism Rehabilitation Workshop in UiTM.  Puan Rose of NASOM presenting at our 2011 Autism Workshop in UiTM Shah Alam Then, alhamdulillah NASOM officially become our research partner in January 2012 with the consent of their GM.
